Quick Overview
The 2014 Infiniti QX70 is essentially a rebadged FX Series, albeit with some modifications for 2014. The QX70 is a stylish sports crossover offering sports car like mannerisms and the practicality of an SUV. With a wide stance and imposing unique looks, it is a very adventurous car that stands out from the crowd. Its rivals include BMW X6, Lincoln MKX and the Audi Q5.
The 2014 QX70 is the only crossover that sits on the same chassis as the Nissan 370Z, thus giving it an advantage when it comes to driving experience. With sports underpinnings, it handles well and because it is a crossover, it provides a smooth ride too. It's tight dimensions make it easy for town and highway driving Rough terrain driving is standard and nothing to shout about. The QX70 is powered by a choice of two engines, a base 3.7 Litre V6 with 329 HP or a charismatic 5.0 Litre V8 with 390 HP in the QX70 'S'. Both engines are mated to an excellent 7 speed automatic, and the big V8 will provide lots of power on long drives.
The 2014 QX70 has received a revised interior that is very luxurious and upmarket; a fluid design quilted with leather and wraps around the cabin. The QX70 has a very cosy atmosphere, but it does feel tight and the back seats are not very spacious due to the sloping roofline. Standard equipment is generous with the base model coming with: an 11 speaker Bose stereo, USB connectivity, power front seats and a panoramic sunroof. Opt for the pricier QX70 S and it will come loaded with tons of technology.
