Quick Overview

The 2014 GMC Acadia is one of the biggest and most stylish crossovers on the market, with space for up to 8 passengers. It is a very flexible and practical vehicle, offering good value for money and tons of equipment. The 2014 Acadia gets a minor facelift that adds LED lights, refreshed interior and a little more technology to make it safer and more competitive. Its rivals include the Honda Pilot, Chevrolet Traverse, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Ford Explorer.

The Acadia is a handsome looking car, with its wide stance, imposing looks and angular design. It looks rather elegant and refined and stands out from the crowd. Based on platform that is more suited for the road, it does a great job of wafting its occupants around on long journeys. Due to its size, the Acadia makes for a very roomy car coupled with a quiet and relaxed ride. However, due to its size, handling isn't a strong attribute and due to its weight, it doesn't feel agile despite looking a little sporty. The GMC Acadia is available in 4 trim levels, all of which are powered by a 3.6 Litre V6 making 288 HP that does a good job moving the Acadia with relative ease.

Inside the Acadia, it is rather classy and has a definite luxurious feel. While the design is simple yet modern, it is well built and solid, and all materials are soft touch giving the Acadia a more premium and upmarket feel. As for infotainment, a Colour Touch Radio with touch-screen control is now standard. The Denali package will however make it even more luxurious with better quality materials and more gadgets that will keep occupants busy. The Acadia makes good use of the potential space under its rather boxy profile, with excellent seating comfort and a tight, quiet cabin.
