Quick Review
The 2013 Nissan Xterra is a large, bulky beast of an SUV and although nothing new has been added in 2013, notable features include a good V6 engine, automatic transmission shifts and its towing capacity. Similar models in this class include the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
The Nissan Xterra is aimed more at the active younger generation and it does very well as an off-roader. It holds five people comfortably and is a pleasure to handle whether on road or off. The Xterra comes with a 60/40 split folding backseat with the addition of the passenger seat folding for carrying long items.
Handling is good courtesy of the electronic stability system, anti-lock disc brakes and 4.0 liter V6 engine. The SUV is available with a five speed automatic transmission.
The exterior styling is unique and features the tubular roof rack and roof line which is stepped with the same short front overhang as all Xterras, this helps a great deal when driving off road. In regards to the interior the vehicle features key-less entry via remote, cruise control and rear view mirror with auto dim.
Safety features on the 2013 Nissan Xterra that are fitted as standard includes automatic disk brakes complete with electronic brake force distribution, side impact airbags which are seat mounted in the front seats and side curtain airbags for both of the rows. Add-on's include leather seating, part time four wheel drive.
