Quick Review

The latest model in the fifth generation of the Honda City range offers something very different from other cars of a similar size. The New Year brings with it better fuel efficiency, 7.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the 5-speed automatic. The newly designed H-beam rear suspension allows smooth and stable driving at high speeds, while the 4-wheel disc braking makes stopping much easier and safer.

While it may not have the trendy-looking gadgets of the Honda Jazz, it does give a much better environmentally-friendly, all-round performance. Compared to the Honda Civic Sedan it has a range of extra safety features that give the whole family the protection and peace of mind they deserve. Outside of the Honda range, the City has some significant advantages over its segment competitors. It is a leader of mid-sized sedans, quite competitive with Ford Fiesta and Fiat Linea. The City is only available with petrol fuel and has proven to be more economically viable for the typical user of its segment. Running on a powerful single petrol engine, the Honda City has handling that shines. The exterior is considered more stylish and sleek while the interior is more dynamic.

The Honda City does what it says on the tin and is ideal for those who frequently travel from A to B within an urban environment. Features are designed mostly for business men and women on a local commute or for small families running through their daily routine.

For its compact size, the speed that the Honda City can reach is surprising. Driving the car is a smooth experience and bumps in the road are barely noticeable. The fuel efficiency is better than many cars in the same segment, although the suggested performance is a little generous.

As Honda likes to promote, the City is a great all-rounder that gives drivers a smooth and efficient journey across town. The improvements on previous models allow the drivers to do so without worrying too much about their impact on the environment.
