Review: Low maintenance, Rugged by Sahar Mahmud

Likes: When I bought this car, I changed spark plugs, engine oil, transmission oil and engine mounts, just as a precaution. I found it's not very expensive to maintain this car, compared to Japanese models. This is one of the good things. I was able to get any spare parts easily from Sharjah BMW Road at the spare parts market. Ford has an official spare parts dealer there so it made the process easier as well. The engine mounts cost me around 400 AED so it's not expensive at all. Since it's a 3.0L V6 engine, the drive is comfortable, good road grip. It's a bit heavy car so you can feel stability as well. There is cruise control, 6 CD changer, so it's a good handy car, spacious 5 seater. Pick up is very good and ground clearance is also quite good for gravel driving. 

Dislikes: Sometimes I feel the engine "clogging effect" despite my maintenance efforts. Not very often, but sometimes. The mileage of the car is 138,000 km so it's not bad. Interior seats are comfortable but the interior materials are mostly hard plastic so finishing is not the best. Steering is not the smoothest. Sound system is ok, could be better.
