Review: BMW 316i 2013 by Peracha

Style: The style/interior is great. It’s one of the most enjoyable aspects of the car.

Performance: Even though the engine is small it doesn’t feel underpowered and it doesn’t give you the feeling of driving a smaller car.

Fuel Economy: The fuel economy is amazing. It does 800kms on a full tank even after 3 years.

Value for money: It’s great value for money if you exclude maintenance.

Comfort: We opted for a basic model so it is not extremely luxurious but it is nice and roomy from the inside.

Cost of maintenance: We ran out of warranty after owing it for 2 years and that is where the nightmare began. Whenever we take it to AGMC, just the diagnosis costs us AED 700. Fixing issues/defects is really heavy on the pocket. We were unlucky that we ran into problems with the car as soon as the warranty expired and could not get an extension or a renewal from AGMC. We tried selling it a couple of times to avoid maintenance expenses but the market is slow and we really haven’t had much response to this model which leads me to believe resale for this model is not too great either.
