Quick Review

For 2013 Nissan Patrol still continues to be a leading model in the full SUV class.

The interior is rather luxurious and it is a very spacious car. The Patrol is quite conventional in the looks department compared to other SUVs but then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Standard features include dual air conditioning; power front seats; leather upholstery and a reversing camera to name but a few. The Patrol’s best asset is its engine which is smooth, quiet and very responsive. The Patrol has a powerful 5.6 liter V8 engine capable of producing 520 Nm of torque and a maximum power of 317 horsepower. The fuel economy is satisfactory at only 15.8 liters per 100 km. The Patrol has respectable levels of traction and excellent off-road capabilities.

Nissan have positioned the Patrol as a competitor to the Toyota Landcruiser. A quick comparison will reveal the Patrol to be more spacious than Landcruiser and with some additional creature comfort options. Will this make Patrol lose it's rugged image? Maybe, it remains to be seen. Toyota Landcruiser remains a worthy competitor with similar pricing as the Patrol.
