The 2019 Geneva Motor Show played host to a ship load of high-performance, modern, and exotic sports cars. Companies from all over the globe revealed their newest creations. Some of these wheels are easily stunning and sensuous enough to make any car enthusiast salivate almost instantly. They were all pretty amazing, but one of my personal favorites was a certain sleek stallion from Maranello, Italy. Yes, I’m talking about none other than the all-new Ferrari F8 Tributo – the most powerful eight-cylinder car ever made by Ferrari.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is the latest in the line of the new-age prancing horses manufactured by the niche marque. It has been designed and developed as a replacement to the 488 GTB, which made its official debut back in 2015. Though a successor to the latter, the F8 is supposed to be positioned right below the (488) Pista in the family stable. In a world where many high-end performance cars are either adopting hybrid powertain combos or turning fully-electric, the Ferrari F8 Tributo remains stubbornly (and gloriously) dependent on old dinosaur juice and a banging V8 to provide its thrust.

Nestled safely behind the cockpit is a marvel of modern automotive engineering and design, Ferrari’s highly-acclaimed F154 engine. This motor provides power to some of Ferrari’s other creations such as the 488 GTB, GTC4Lusso T, and Portofino. In the all-new F8 Tributo, however, this powerplant has been cranked up all the way to eleven. Because this 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 now develops an astonishing 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque! The combination of the F8 Tributo’s immense power, light curb weight of 1,330 kilograms, along with a lightning fast 7-speed dual-clutch transmission basically translates to constant dopamine releases from your brain. Here are some basic numbers in terms of performance: - top speed – a lofty 340 km/h. Acceleration? Well, according to Ferrari, the F8 will blast past the 100 km/h mark in just 2.9 seconds, while 200 km/h will be history in 7.8 seconds.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo might be the latest kid in the block, but it isn’t exactly all-new and in a lot of ways, is quite comparable to its predecessor, the 488. For example, its body shell and platform are almost identical to the 488, but of course, both have been heavily revised and retuned on the F8 Tributo. The engine and gearbox too are in fact identical in many aspects to that found in the 488 Pista, but they too have been worked upon by the tech gurus at Maranello. Thanks to all the work that has gone into the making of the new F8 Tributo, it now not only boasts better aerodynamics and a lower drag co-efficient, but also a near perfect powertrain.

Ferrari F8 Tributo Front

The Ferrari F8 Tributo may be a thing of beauty, but it sure does look more aggressive than its predecessor. The sharp-nose, mean-looking front is characterized by angular LED headlights, massive air intakes vents, and a sporty bumper. The side is dominated by hugely flared fenders, gorgeous alloy rims, and distinctive air intake scoops behind the doors. The rear too has its fair share of cuts, creases, and vents to aid with the aerodynamics. There’s a functional rear wing, quad LED taillights, and large dual exhaust pipes that’s integrated into the rear bumper which also houses the diffuser. The cabin of the F8 Tributo is just as mesmerizing and sporty with stitched leather, beautiful carbon-fiber, and an all-digital driver’s display.

The all-new Ferrari F8 Tributo is a key model for the Italian carmaker and is expected to go on sale soon.
