The 127 vehicles that were delivered include, the powerful Prado, the trusty Camry, Corolla, Hiace, and the rugged Land Cruiser Pickup. Supporting Sharjah Police in their plans to drive the UAE Vision 2021’s environmental initiatives, Al Futtaim Motors also permitted a test drive of Toyota’s zero-emission Fuel Cell technology in the form of the hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai.

The Mirai, unlike battery-powered electric vehicles, is hydrogen-powered and is driven by an electric motor. Creating electricity through an onboard Fuel Cell stack, it uses oxygen from the air with stored hydrogen to power the car, resulting in the release of water instead of CO2.
