New VW Golf 2013 Revealed

Volkswagen Golf 7th Generation has been officially revealed in Europe. 

The new Golf has a longer wheelbase, giving front passengers more legroom than before. It's also over 200 pounds lighter, meaning vibration issues might spring up ahead. The engine sizes announced include a 1.4 and 1.6L engines. 

“Success of the new Golf is absolutely critical to VW's expansion targets but the new version will be battling in a tough environment,” said Stefan Bratzel, head of the Centre of Automotive Management think-tank near Cologne, Germany.

However, this model will help Volkswagen to compete with their rivals in the compact segment like Toyota and General Motors, as they are aiming to sell 10 million vehicles by 2018, up from the 8.36 million recorded last year.
