Dubai Police has recommended a host of new fines to the Ministry of Interior, as reported by Emirates 24/7 News.

The Ministry of Interior will decide on their implementation in the next few months. Here are some suggested fines:

1. Driving with sunglasses at night in Dubai will give you a 200 AED fine

2. Showing "neglect and lack of attention" will give you a 400 AED fine

3. ‘Driving a vehicle in a manner considered to be a threat’ will give you a 1,000 AED fine

4. Fine for refusing to give name and address to the traffic policeman will be double from Dh500 to Dh1,000

5. Non-fitness of tyres will invite a fine of Dh500 instead of Dh200 as earlier

6. Driving a car with expired registration or driving licence will face a fine of Dh1,000.
