New fines for vehicles with expired registration in the UAE

Police in Abu Dhabi are warning motorists over smart radars that will be installed across the emirate by 15th April 2018. The radars will be activated on internal and external roads of Abu Dhabi and will ensure that violators with an expired vehicle registration are fined AED 500, given four black points, and have their vehicle impounded for seven days.

This move aims to reduce the time and human efforts in traffic departments while strengthening road safety for motorists across the country. Brigadier General Ahmad Al Shehi, Deputy Director of the police’s Traffic Directorate, believes the new system will bring in positive results and drive motorists to follow vehicle licensing and renewal rules.

 

اعتبارا من 15 إبريل الجاري.. تفعيل الأنظمة الذكية لرصد ومخالفة المركبات منتهية الترخيص بأبوظبي بالغرامة 500 درهم و4 نقاط مرورية وحجز المركبة 7 أيام . . تبدأ شرطة أبو ظبي بتفعيل الأنظمة الذكية على الطرق لرصد وتحرير المخالفات للمركبات المنتهية الترخيص والتي لم يتم تجديدها اعتبارا من 15 إبريل الجاري، وذلك بهدف تعزيز سلامة قائدي المركبات ومستخدمي الطريق، وإجراء الفحص الفني للمركبات وتأمينها وترخيصها من سلطة الترخيص، بعد التأكد من صلاحيتها للسير على الطرق. وأوضح العميد أحمد الشحي نائب مدير مديرية المرور والدوريات بقطاع العمليات المركزية في شرطة أبو ظبي، أن تحرير المخالفات باستخدام الأنظمة الذكية يسهم في توفير أعلى مستويات السلامة المرورية، وتفادي النتائج السلبية المترتبة على قيادة مركبة منتهية الترخيص ولم يتم فحصها. ودعا أصحاب المركبات منتهية الترخيص إلى الإسراع في ترخيصها، قبل رصدها ومخالفتها من خلال الأجهزة الذكية اعتبارا من 15/4/2018، وتطبيق المادة ٢٥ ب من قانون السير والمرور (قيادة مركبة منتهية الترخيص) بالغرامة ٥٠٠ درهم و ٤ نقاط مرورية وحجز المركبة ٧ أيام. Police across the emirates of Abu Dhabi urge motorists to renew their vehicle registration and insurance from licensing entities to avoid a fine being generated before the 15^th of April.
