Geely Emgrand GT V6 2017 launched in the UAE

Geely, a Chinese automotive manufacturer and owner of Volvo Cars, has unveiled its Emgrand GT with a 3.5-liter V6 power plant under the hood. Breaking new grounds, this makes Geely the first and only Chinese automaker in the GCC to offer an engine with such a large displacement.

The 3.5-litre V6 engine, which churns out 270 horsepower and 326 Nm of torque, will join the current 2.4-litrer 4-cylinder engine in the model’s line-up. The aluminum structure of the engine, not only optimizes power delivery, but also slashes fuel consumption by a claimed 5%.

The striking Geely Emgrand GT, is designed by British veteran designer, Peter Horbury, the ex-design chief of Volvo. Leading a team of over 350 international designers based in Gothenburg, Barcelona, Los Angeles and Shanghai, it is through his leadership that the Emgrand GT is what it is.

Headquartered in Hangzhou, the Chinese automaker established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to cater to the Emgrand GT. Victor of “China Car of the Year 2016”, the Geely Emgrand GT features Head-Up Display, an automatic parking system, Electric Rear VIP Seat, 7-airbags, and a phenomenal 5-star C-NCAP rating.

Prices for the Geely Emgrand GT V6 2017 start at AED 99,995 and top out at AED 109,995 for the full-loaded variant. Geely vehicles are exclusively available through Union Motors dealerships in the UAE.
