Dubai Airport hikes parking fees

For the first time in ten years, Dubai Airport has hiked parking tariffs for both short-term and long-term parking zones, indicating that picking up and dropping off friends and family could become an expensive affair. Long-term parking (B-Zone) has seen an AED 5 increase from AED 20 to AED 25 per hour, while short-term parking (A-Zone) has increased from AED 20 to AED 30 per hour.
At one of the busiest airports in the world, people have been complaining about being charged for the full hour even though they have stayed for less than half, but there is some good news for those who wish to park for the entire day. As confirmed by a spokesperson, the rates for 24-hour long-term parking have been slashed by 55 per cent, from AED 280 to AED 125 at all premium car parks and AED 140 to AED 85 in all long-term car parks.
The parking facility at the airport has recently been upgraded as the result of significant capital investment and will be expanded with a new multi-story facility that will add approximately 3,500 new spaces in the next couple of years.
