Bee'ah adds 50 Tesla Semi trucks to its fleet in the UAE
The first organization to order Tesla Semi trucks in the Middle East, environmental management company Bee’ah, breaks stereotypes by ordering 50 of the automotive brand’s revolutionary all-electric commercial trucks soon after their global launch in November 2017. Supporting Bee’ah’s aim to be a holistic environmental management company, the announcement was made at the World Future Energy Summit that runs from 15th to 18th January in Abu Dhabi.

Set to enter production in 2019 and roam the streets of the UAE by 2020, the Tesla Semi trucks will primarily be used for waste collection and transportation, and will become an integral part of the company’s thousand-strong vehicle fleet. Contributing to reducing the company’s carbon footprint, the Tesla Semi trucks will be used alongside existing EVs, vehicles that run on compressed natural gas, vehicles that run on bio diesel, and the boats that use solar energy while cleaning lakes around the country.
“We are extremely pleased to turn towards Tesla for a solution that enhances our leadership of sustainable practices in the region. As a company that strives to be the best in our field, we only work with partners that we consider to be the best in theirs.” Commented His Excellency Salim Al Owais, Chairman of Bee’ah.
