Aston Martin CEO to personally inspect every DB11

Following in the footsteps of automotive greats such as Elon Musk, Andy Palmer, the CEO of British manufacturer Aston Martin, has just made an inspiring announcement. For the next couple of months, Palmer will be working overtime, day in and day out, to personally inspect the first 1,000 DB11s manufactured.

While it may not seem necessary at first, the Aston Martin DB11 is an enormous deal for the manufacturer. After all, it is the first all-new vehicle to bear the Aston Martin insignia since Andy Palmer took over the reigns as CEO in October 2014. Additionally, it is also the first all-new Aston Martin to arrive since the DB9 introduced the scalable VH platform in 2003.

So while the Aston Martin/Red Bull AMRB-001 created headlines around the globe just last week, it is the DB11 that truly requires the attention. And attention it seems to be getting, with CEO Andy Palmer installing a unique inspection badge with his signature onto all of the DB 11’s V12 engines that he is overlooking.

With the DB line-up being the most successful for the British manufacturer, the DB11 continues the heritage, being the 10^th car to flaunt the iconic nameplate. After what seems like an eternity of Aston Martin churning out a series of variants all based on the same basic car, the future seems bright. And frankly speaking, we sincerely hope the efforts pay off, because we’re waiting to see what Aston Martin has planned next!
