Ford Opens Up New Research Centre

Located in Tesla Motor’s hometown of Palo Alto, a new research centre in Silicon Valley is opening up by the Ford Motor Company. The new research center is going to develop technology related to autonomous cars and vehicle connectivity. Ford has other research facilities some which are in Dearborn, Michigan and Aachen, Germany.

According to Ford, this new facility will have 125 researchers, engineers and scientists.

They will attempt to drive cars remotely and test algorithms for future self-driving cars using gaming software.

These experiments are part of the Smart Mobility Plan that Ford previously unveiled at CES this month.
