Review: Great value sport car by FJCRUISER

My take on interior features: Excellent sitting position. Comfortable supporting seats. Quality interior and easy access to switches.

My take on exterior features: Good aerodymamics. Good looking car. The only drawback are the two exhaust pipes looking cheap and as if borrowed from a Yaris. The front bumper will be prone to scratches and cracks when parking as there are no parking sensors. Generally the car looks solidly made and well put together.

My take on driving performance: Noisy engine but you are driving a sport car after all. Like most automatics with relatively small engines, the lag when changing gear is quite obvious. Good performance even at low speed (unlike the VTECH system). Steering feels quite heavy. Great handling. The RW drive really make this car a sport car. The brakes are harsh but good. As the suspension is firm, it would be interesting to know how it would feel after a long journey.

My take on how practical this car is: It is really a 2-seater car, not even a 2+2 as there is no room at the back whatsoever. Although it is fun to drive, I am not sure it is practical on Dubai roads. The boot is adequate for a sport car although it would have been nice to put a cover on the spare wheel so the space can be used. If i was still in the UK, I would just buy one and take it for a blast on the windy roads of Devon & Cornwall.

My take on the price tag & value for money: The manual is extremely good value for money at 95,000dhs but it is the basic version. Subaru has a more upgraded manual version. Unfortunately neither could offer me a manual test drive. The top of the range is either 117,000dhs at Subaru or 125,000dhs at Toyota. The difference is in the seat material (full leather on Toyota and leather-alcantara on Subaru). The warranty and service offers are the same.
