The Al Ain Motor Show 2013 (MOTEX) was held from 17th - 20th January. The event had more than 40 exhibitors, including car dealerships, car modification companies, banks, exchanges, media and non-profit organizations such as Al Ain Classic Cars Museum.
While Etisalat managed to snag a few looks with it's pimped up car above, none of the stalls got wireless internet access which was a disappointment. Instead Etisalat was promoting Home Internet at an event where wireless internet was required! Plus the organizers spelled our name "Yalla Motors" which made us look like a used car dealer. With a brave face we managed our way through the confusion and made the best of the given situation.
Car modifications is now big business particularly in UAE, Saudi Arabia and GCC markets overall. We managed to snap the most interesting pictures of modified cars at the Al Ain Motor Show.
This was a newly introduced event hence the crowd was not earth shattering huge. We did however got introduced to some neat folks from various dealerships representing Al Ain and Abu Dhabi region for new and used cars. Overall not the best car event we've attended but look forward to further growth in the coming years.
