The Suzuki Jimny has been a part of the Japanese automaker’s line-up since 1970 and was the brand’s first global success, as it tapped into an untouched section of the market: the compact off-roader. Currently in its third-generation - a series which has been ongoing since 1998 - the Jimny offers affordability, capability and simplicity, at a time when majority of the other manufacturers seem to be offering neither.

Sure, the figures aren’t anything to write home about, but the way they come together, work with the differential lock and carry the Jimny over obstacles that even pricier, more rugged SUVs struggle with, is truly impressive.

The Suzuki Jimny, though a tad dated in today’s ever-changing automotive marketspace, commands a price tag of just AED 55,000 for the manual variant and AED 60,000 for the automatic version.
